Andrew Higley is head of derivatives and liquid trading at Voya Investment Management, and the derivative group head for Voya Financial and its regulated life insurance companies. He is responsible for a team that manages quantitative hedging disciplines and overlay portfolios, executes replicating transactions used in building products, and performs an advisory function across the firm for the management of market risks. The team works in rate, equity, and foreign exchange markets, in both linear and volatility instruments. Prior to joining Voya, Andrew worked for the Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta, advising member banks on funding and rate risk management, and using rate derivatives to build structured loans. Previously, he worked in the technologies division of America Online, doing applied statistics, and in the U.S. Senate as a Legislative Correspondent. Andrew earned a master’s degree in quantitative methods for policy analysis from Harvard University and was pre-med and an english major at the University of Virginia. He is also a CFA® Charterholder.
